r. Habib Kazi Ahsan, ex-research fellow in the Marine Biological Resource Research Dept. was awarded his PhD at the UST 2011 Awards Ceremony held at the auditorium of UST last month.

Dr. Habib from Bangladesh studied "Fish group genetics" and entered the UST PhD course in Marine Biology in August 2007 (supervisor: Prof. Lee Yoon Ho)

It is highly meaningful that his PhD is the first doctoral degree awarded on the UST campus. A total of 29 master’s and doctoral course students have enrolled at UST Campus.

Our Institute provides five major subjects, including 'marine environmental system science,' 'marine biotechnology,' 'marine biology,' 'marine IT engineering,' and 'marine chemical and biology' with various introductory classes such as 'Fundamental oceanography,' 'Marine physics,' and others.

67 faculty members are contributing to developing the next generation of marine scientists, including Dr. Lee Yoon Ho, who was honored as '2010 UST Outstanding Campus Faculty' and Dr. Lee Jeong Hyeon, who was awarded as '2011 UST outstanding faculty.'
